The L770 Executive Trainer is the top-of-the-line treadmill in Landice’s L770 Series. Like the simpler options, this maintenance-free model features a frame made of airline-quality aluminum, a commercial 4.0 HP motor, and an industry-leading shock absorption system. However, it’s especially distinguished by its Executive Trainer panel with state-of-the-art graphics and an even wider variety of fitness programs than the L770 Cardio Trainer. The L770 Executive Trainer also features contact and wireless heart rate monitoring systems, a power incline, and a reading rack.

What We Like

  • Executive Trainer Console – The Executive Trainer Console is a favorite among Landice’s own executives. The motivating display shows full-color computer-animated video graphics. The console can save data for five trainees and includes the following workout options: five preset workouts with variable time, speed, and elevation; five user-defined programs; time, distance, and calorie goal programs; six fitness tests; two preset heart rate monitoring workouts; and four user-defined heart rate workouts. Wireless and contact heart-rate monitoring systems are standard.
  • High Quality Treadbelt – The Landice Executive Trainer Home Treadmill has a 58” treadbelt to let all but the tallest runners reach a full stride. The belt is made to endure: with four layers and large rollers, it can endure thousands more hours of use than can a single-ply or two-ply belt with small rollers. Furthermore, the L770’s belt is maintenance-free. Cheaper treadmills often need to be lubricated at home to run smoothly and quietly.
  • Incline – The track can incline 15% to help simulate road running and provide more challenging workouts.
  • Powerful Motors – The Landice L770 houses an American-made 4.0 CHP drive motor. The motor supports a high speed of 12 mph and can operate at top speed (5 HP) for 15 minutes without overheating. This Executive trainer also has a powerful secondary motor for the incline. With 1,000 pounds of thrust, it provides smooth elevation and declination even at top speeds.
  • iPod Pocket – A special iPod-sized non-slip pocket is built into the console for convenience.
  • High Capacity – The L770 Treadmill has a 400-pound user capacity. It weighs 290 pounds and measures 34” wide by 76” long.
  • Excellent Warranty – Owners of this fitness machine get a lifetime warranty on the entire machine plus a year of labor. That’s an industry-leading warranty package.

What We Don’t Like

The only apparent drawback to the Landice L770 Club frame is its large size. Some customers would prefer a smaller machine to conserve space.

Our Verdict

The Landice L770 Executive Trainer tops the L770 Series with its high-tech video display and wide variety of workouts. Superior ergonomics, a long track, and a lifetime warranty help make the L770 Executive Trainer a four-star fitness machine.
