The ProForm 415 LT Treadmill is a starter treadmill typically sold by retailers like Walmart, and sells for just under $500. It’s an incredibly budget-friendly model that features an easy to use folding frame with the patented Space Saver Design.

The drive system provides a 2.8 CHP Mach Z Motor with a 300 pound weight capacity. The running area is supported with a shock-absorption system, TreadSoft Cushioning, and is 18 inches wide and 50 inches long. The incline ranges from 0 to 10%, and speed ranges from 0 to 10mph, with the option to select speed/incline in half mile/half percent increments with the control arrows.

The console area is compatible with iFit Workout Card technology, providing 8 weeks of progressive personal training on each card. The program will automatically adjust speed and incline while working out, and will also give you audible voice coaching throughout the workout. The display screen is a small blue-tinted LCD screen, that provides access to 12 built-in workout programs, designed by certified personal trainers. This model also features a full audio system with the Intermix Acoustics System that provides two 2″ speakers and smartphone compatibility. Also available on the console is the dual-grip EKG heart rate monitor. The basics are included as well, like two water bottle holders and a single cooling fan.

The warranty on this model includes 10 years coverage on the motor, 90 days on parts and labor.

What We Like:

Self-Cooling Drive System: The 415 LT is equipped with a quiet, self-cooling drive system. This system uses an axial fan to reduce noise as it cools the internal components of the drive system. This self-cooling system can help to extend the longevity of the motor.
Folding Design: This model uses the patented Space Saver Design for easy vertical folding in just one easy step. This folding design makes this treadmill perfect where space is limited.
Price: This is a very budget-friendly treadmill, selling for just under $500. This price is more than hard to beat for a treadmill by a fairly reputable brand like ProForm.
iFit Workout Card Technology: This console allows users to insert their iFit Workout Cards that provides 8 weeks of progressive personal training on each card (cards sold separately). Each card is designed by certified personal trainers and the treadmill automatically adjusts the incline and speed to fit each program.

What We Don’t Like:

Display Screen: The display screen is very narrow and just not too easy to read. It is back lit, which is a plus, but not everyone can read from a screen this small.
Warranty: The 90 days warranty on parts and labor is pretty bad as it is, but 10 years on the motor is worse as even the cheapest models by nicer brands will at least offer lifetime coverage on either the frame and/or the motor.
Lacks Storage Space: The console area is fairly spacious but there is no reading rack, accessories tray or anywhere to put your phone or keys (unless you want to use the cup holders).

Our Verdict:

The ProForm 415 LT isn’t the worst cheap treadmill by ProForm. The model of course lacks some qualities like a steep incline, entertainment options or a spacious running, but it does provide the basics. There is some program variety and the iFit Workout Card adds some advanced tracking options, if you purchase the card.
